About Sara
Sara Chapnik is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #145405) who embarked on a transformative journey that led her from the dynamic world of the music industry to the profound realm of therapy. Graduating from the University of California Santa Barbara in 2010, she honed her skills and passion, eventually obtaining her Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University in 2023.

Sara’s therapeutic approach is not a one-size-fits-all solution. She provides person-centered, strength-based therapy, appreciating each client’s unique diversity. Drawing from cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, humanistic, and somatic theoretical frameworks, she crafts a holistic therapeutic experience tailored to each individual. Sara aims to establish a nonjudgmental and friendly environment where clients feel safe, truly understood, and valued.

Sara specializes in adjustment and life transitions, anxiety, communication and boundaries, depression, grief and loss, self-discovery, self-esteem, relationship and work-related issues.

Sara assists clients of various ages with shifting their perspectives of themselves and their experiences, building resilience, altering narratives and symptoms, increasing pro-social behaviors and awareness, and creating healthier relationships.

Sara’s eclectic theoretical approach, incorporating mindfulness, music and expressive arts, and movement (walk and talk) therapy elements, ensures that she is well-equipped to address each client’s unique needs and instills confidence in their therapeutic journey.
