Difficulties in families arise for a variety of reasons and impact the family structure in complex ways. Common family challenges include issues related to divorce, blended families, addiction, behavioral issues, and breakdown of communication.
Treatment is focused on the family as a unit and not on any one member being the cause of the issues. While behavioral problems and concerns will be directly addressed, attention will be given to the system as whole in promoting change.
Our therapists work to identify the goals and needs of the family. We assist families in understanding patterns of interaction and creating new ways of communicating and relating. We create a respectful and safe environment to help families engage in healthier interactions and create increased understanding in the family unit.
