About Shannon
Shannon O’Connor is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) who brings warmth, presence, and genuine care to her work with clients. She approaches therapy as a collaborative, relational process where people can feel seen, supported, and gently challenged as they navigate life’s complexities.

Shannon works with individuals, couples, families, and teens addressing anxiety, depression, substance use, perfectionism, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the evolving impact of technology, including AI-related intimacy and dependency. She is particularly attuned to the ways people come to feel disconnected from themselves or unworthy in relationships, and she supports clients in reconnecting with their inherent worth and capacity for meaningful change.

Her approach is grounded in Narrative Therapy, helping clients reorient their relationship to problems and uncover the strengths, values, and stories that often get overshadowed. She integrates a range of modalities, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Solution-Focused Therapy, and attachment-based frameworks, to tailor treatment to each person’s unique needs and goals. Her work is also informed by somatic and mindfulness-based practices, supporting clients in deepening body and nervous system awareness as part of the healing process.

Prior to becoming a therapist, Shannon spent a decade in advertising and marketing, an experience that continues to inform her sensitivity to identity, messaging, and the narratives people internalize about themselves. She is also a Buddhist practitioner and thoughtfully integrates principles of compassion and mindfulness into her clinical work.

Shannon is committed to providing a grounded, compassionate space where clients can explore, grow, and move toward lives that feel more connected, intentional, and aligned.
