Yvette Laguitan, AMFT
About Yvette
Yvette is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) who brings a warm, compassionate, and collaborative approach to therapy. She views each person as whole and shaped by their unique experiences, relationships, and cultural context, a perspective informed by feminist theory and a culturally responsive lens.
Yvette works with individuals, couples, and families who are healing from past struggles, navigating difficult life transitions, or seeking deeper self-understanding. Her therapeutic stance is nonjudgmental and compassionate, helping clients explore how life experiences have influenced their self-perception and relationships with others.
Drawing from Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Narrative Therapy, Yvette creates a space for meaningful connection and growth. She has specialized experience working with immigrants and individuals navigating bicultural identities, and she is particularly passionate about supporting couples and families.
